Frequently Asked Questions
When are your shows?
We do four shows a week. Friday at 8 and 10pm. Saturday at 8 and 10pm. Doors open 30 minutes before showtime. (So, 7:30 and 9:30pm.)
We are not open the weekend after Thanksgiving, and we may or may not be open on Christmas weekend, depending where Christmas Day falls in the week.
Following us on Facebook is the best way to get notified about holiday-based closings.
Where are you located?
1800 Rossville Ave, #118, Chattanooga TN 37408.
We WERE located in suite #106, but we moved to #118 in January 2019. As of this writing, we are still working on signage for the new location. But, if you simply go to the old location, turn to your right, and walk down four doors, that’s where you’ll find us.
Can I bring my kids?
Most of our regular shows are rated PG-13. So, yeah, bring those teenagers along. They’ll probably think we need to curse more.
Our Student Showcases are rated PG. Lots of pre-teens and Grandmas at those shows, so we have the Students be extra careful.
The monthly “Improv vs Standup” show is a HARD R rating. We have no control over the content of the Stand Up comics’ material, but you can safely assume it’s the same level of “dirty” that you would hear in a normal comedy club at a late night Saturday show.
Can I bring my dog?
Currently, we can’t allow dogs in the theater. It’s an insurance issue, and we are currently searching for a new provider that will allow dogs.
Do you have an Open Mic?
We do not. With the exception of our “Improv vs Stand Up” show, Improv Chattanooga doesn’t normally feature stand up comedy. Our purpose is to bring Improvisational Comedy and Theater to the Chattanooga area.
That said, we do have an Open House, which happens the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month. It’s free to the public and anyone is welcome to attend. You can get on stage and play, or just sit and watch.
As for traditional Open Mics, there are dozens of those around the city. Just Google “Chattanooga Open Mic” and you should find lots to choose from. Heck, you know what? You’re busy. So, we’ll do it for you. Click here to see the latest list of Open Mics around town.
You can also check out the “Comedy 423” page on Facebook. It has info on the latest comedy shows and Open Mics around town.
If you are an established improvisor, and you’ll be passing through (or moving to) town, we’d love to meet and maybe play with you! Please message us on Facebook, or e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org to try and work something out.
